The Burgener Strength Level 1 Coach certification goes beyond attending a course; it signifies your ability to teach, refine, and apply weightlifting principles in a way that drives meaningful results.


Burgener Strength Level 1 Coaches have demonstrated the ability to safely, efficiently and effectively teach the Snatch, Clean, & Jerk to the members in their gym. In addition, they understand and know how to implement the following according to the Burgener Methodology:

Steps to Completion

The process to become a Burgener Strength Level 1 Coach (BStr-L1) begins with successful completion one of our Burgener Weightlifting Course offerings.

Once course completion is validated, prospective coaches may register to take the Burgener Strength Level 1 Test. Registrants who successfully complete the test and achieve an 85% grade or higher will earn the BStr-L1 designation and certificate.

Step 1
COMPLETE A COURSE

Before you can register for the test, you must fulfill one of the following requirements:

Attend a Burgener Strength Course:  Participate in a live Burgener Strength Weightlifting course or complete the online Burgener Strength Weightlifting course.

Validate a Previous Course:  If you’ve taken a Burgener Strength course in the past, submit a validation request to confirm eligibility.

Submit a CrossFit Certification:  A CrossFit Weightlifting Certificate (2005-2023) qualifies. Submit proof for verification.

TAKE THE TEST

Register for the Exam:  Once you’ve completed a course or provided validation, sign up for the Level 1 certificate exam.

Study the Materials:  Review the Burgener Strength methodology, including lift progressions, key positions, and coaching principles.

Complete the Test:  Take the online exam at your own pace, with a required pass mark of 85%.

Step 3
EARN YOUR CERTIFICATE

Achieve Burgener Strength Level 1 Coach Status:  Upon passing the test, you officially earn the BStr-L1 designation!

Receive Your Certificate:  Your official certificate will be mailed to you, marking your achievement as a Burgener Strength Level 1 Coach.

Start Coaching with Confidence:  Apply your knowledge to coach, cue, and refine the Snatch and Clean & Jerk using the Burgener Methodology.

Enhance your coaching credibility and help athletes move better, lift stronger, and perform movements safely.

Seminar Attendance
